Cycling — Publishing

Circa is a luxurious printed edition, devoted to capturing the drama and the glory of athletic pursuit od cycling through photography, art and writing. Editions are released in limited numbers three times a year, collecting the work from global artists around central themes, that are unrelentingly raw, human, and original. Circa presents uninterrupted visual stories, free from advertising. Profits from each edition will be split equitably between the contributing artists. The launch edition In Praise Of Mountains brings together work from photographers Chris McClean (UK), Michael Blann (UK), Emily Maye (USA), Ryan LeGarrec (PRT), Syzmon Kotowski (POL), and Leave It On The Road (USA). It also includes written pieces from Ex-professional rider David Millar, Ryan LeGarrec and Syzmon Kotowski. The work takes us to the Alps and Dolomites in the off season. We pass over the raw and ancient mountain roads of North Africa and Asia, and landscapes scarred by wildfires in North America. All of these roads have seen riders overcome injury, broken machines, illness, and “Weather Hells”, emerging over the top, exhausted but better riders.
